Break Time

Well… I don’t have to tell you that I’ve been busy. What I think I need to admit is… blogging is getting to be a wee bit im-poss-ee-blay.

My new schedule is intense, and it’s only getting crazier starting next week(!)… for like the next two months (!!). So I think it’s about time I fess up (to myself) that my free time can no longer lend itself to good and thorough blogging (seeing as it has been reduced to the, oh, 15 minute window right before I pass out at night) and while I’ve continued to take pictures of all my silly food and tried furiously to stop by all your great blogs over the last week and a half, I have *obviously* not been able to keep up with my own blog like I used to and commenting on yours.

So let me make this proclamation: I love you all, I love blogging, but I am going on Official Break Mode starting right now…. until my life calms down (if??), I’ll be haunting this space fairly infrequently…maybe the occasional post on some weird kitchen creation that comes out of a slow, rainy-day Sunday or something.  But don’t think I won’t be perusing all your blogs! And of course commenting when I can.

So with that, I will leave you with some of my foods from the past few days (since I need to do something with these pictures on my iphone)…..

Spaghetti squash + spinach + hummus/nooch/salsa!

Trusty old OIAJ.

A coworker (at my old job) brought me homemade lemon cake! (as a congrats on the new job ;) ) Oh how it was good.

Mess of a salad with a Dr. Praeger’s veggie burger mixed in.

Steamed broccoli + cabbage + raisins, over garlic hummus (with paprika and cinnamon!)

I basically put my “jar” oats in a bowl (finally! ha) : included are rolled oats, buckwheat groats, almond butter, homemade pumpkin butter, and a bananorama.

Alright kids. That’s all – FOR NOW!  I’ll see you around, I promise.

Kisses.

Over and out.

  1. I’m so sad! I can completely relate though, chica. Whenever I do have free time, I stock up on my blogging so I can drop a post here and there. I wish I had the time that “professional bloggers” do to dedicate it to this as I love it, but se la vie!

I’ll miss you! Keep in touch!

  2. Good luck with your crazy work schedule! Although we will all miss your daily food posts, I completely understand that life gets too hectic at times (blogging is supposed to be fun…not another stress added to an already busy day!).

Enjoy your new job, relax, and know that we all understand :)

  3. its awesome that ur admitting it to yourself, its much better than forcefully trying to keep ontop of blogging when u know it will just drain you out trying to balance it with everything else going on right now! thankfully before ur break u leave me with YUMMY food to drool over! hopefully too ur able to feel relaxed and things dont get too hectic, maybe giving u a new vigor when u find more time to get some blogging in. of course, i’ll be right here when u come back <3 TAKE CARE BEAUTIFUL!
    xoxo

  4. I totally know what you mean with not being able to blog right now. I like feel bad for everyone who comments and I can’t get back to them lol. In the same boat that way with ya.

But more importantly…Your humus salsa? That caught my eye for sure! Do tell how you make this please!?

  5. It was you who mentioned Jari Love!!! Sorry I couldn’t remember for the life of me who had done her workouts before! Yes, I love the “you’re burning 100% carbs” — and her prom hairdo is too hilarious!

    Take care!!!
